Obama inherited (from you know who) the most robust intelligence and security apparatus in American history. They had a bead on bin Laden for 3+ months before they even TOLD Obama in fear that he'd call the whole thing off.

Panetta (by no means a hawk himself) is on record saying Obama knew nothing up to 2 weeks before the mission, and on the day of the mission Obama had to be dragged off the golf course in order to get the now famous deer-in-headlights photo-op from the command room.

Beyond those few facts above that are on the record, those who actually participated in the mission are bound by a code of silence, which allows Obama to get away with all this unseemly and pompous spiking of the football. Thankfully Obama makes for such a hilarious and unconvincing hero most Americans aren't buying it (i.e. there has been no Osama "bounce" for Obama).

If george bush did the same thing you'd have his face tatooed on your ass and we know it! idiot.

Giving Obama the credit is a slap in the face to all the Navy Seals, CIA, and other special forces that put in the time and effort to get this piece of shit.

Obama gave the order and he is the commander in chief. It took a real president to make that gutsy call and he got those Somalian pirates too. Never have to worry about any attacks on our own soil like in 2001 with Obeezy on the job!!

Obama renewed the search for Bin Laden after Bush had abandoned it. It was his stated policy to finally get Bin Laden that eventually got us to that point in time. He upped the stakes as soon as he took office. And "you know who" famously said "I don't know where he is, and frankly I don't think about him much."

Dude, don't go there. Let's keep this civil. Not a Dubya fan, but 9/11 was NOT EVEN CLOSE to his fault.

Again, let's just celebrate what a great day this was for our country. We have the best military in the world and we have a president that pushed the right buttons in this case. We win. There is no reason to turn this into a political debate. Duane said it very well. Go back and read his post if you feel the need to stir the pot and try and turn this into a political debate.

Let's turn this into an Americans v terrorists debate. We win. Happy anniversary!

I didn't turn this into a political debate, the dude I'm responded to did first.

You obviously have some bias because you choose to tell the guy who responded to the anti Obama post to say this too.

To give the credit to the president, Dem or Rep (both are scum) is bullshit and you know it. You just like ruffling some feathers and I get that. I enjoy reading some of your posts. But when it comes to this topic, you are disrespecting our special forces who did the REAL work.

I'm happy bin Laden is dead for personal reasons. But it has been apparent for years he had become a figurehead and irrelevant in the war on terror.

381 US soldiers have died since bin Laden was killed. This year is on pace to be the deadliest on record since we invaded Afghanistan. What exactly is he celebrating!?

By the way, you have to be completely uninformed and ignorant to actually BELIEVE that the search for bin Laden was ever abandoned.

Really? I voted for Obama. And will again. Still think I'm biased? (I love how all black people assume all white people are raging Republicans.)
