Before the right on here go into a frenzy I would like to mention that she is not an Obama advisor. I haven't turned to FOX, but I'd say they are saying she is Obama's closest advisor. She's a Democrat, but she has nothing to do with the Democratic party, but that won't stop Rush, Sean, and company. It's Obama's fault - along with the Korean Missile failure (wonder how Rush will spin that one?).

BTW, your title says she attacked stay at home mothers and then you narrow it down to what it really was. She was actually trying to state the case for stay at home mothers, although somewhat clumsily. So your title is misleading.

Also, she has been rebuked by almost every Democrat including Obama. It was a stupid and insensitive thing to say.

You hits are all almost misses.

This is much ado about nothing. It was a stupid thing to say by a political talker who has no connection to anything.

Obama and other dems have said it was inappropriate and that is the end of it, except for Fox and hitless wonders like yourself.

By the way, Rosen's point, which she missed (much like you do with your posts), was actually a good one. Romney keeps saying that his wife keeps him informed about what the women in American are concerned about. Rosen's point was that Mrs. Mitt could not understand what the lives of most mothers are like. That she was able to to choose to stay at home, knowing that her children would not want for anything financially because of her decision, puts her in a different position with different experiences than most women who have to work and be a mother.

Though often asked, God does not take sides in politics or college football.

  • What is even more funny that she is not an advisor but is a democratic strategy person who's been to the White House over 38 times this year . Damage control . Trough her ass under the bus quickly . Lol

  • wow. You guys are the fringe for sure.

puppets, robots, sheep.... comical. Grasping for straws here... the entire point was she was married into a wealthy family and she never had to choose to work outside the home to bring in income to pay everyday bills that most American working moms have been and continue to struggle with.

Yes it is hard work to stay at home and raise your kids, we all get that... what Rosen was pointing out (and maybe she chose the wrong words here) was the fact Mitts wife never had to hold down a full time job AND also raise the family like millions of hard working moms in this country are doing everyday. Mitts wife never had to live paycheck to paycheck, never had to cut back on groceries, never had to worry about affording health care, private schooling, making that rent / mortgage payment.

She married into wealth, has lived a life of wealth, and doesn't equate to the vast majority of working women/moms in this country that Rosen was discussing, when she was asked the question...

And don't sit there and type to us Mitt appeals to women, and treats them equal... In fact, he is going to have a very, very difficult time explaining when he was in charge of Bain & Company, he had less than 10% women in executive positions... it was the "old boys club" run by Mitt.

Get over yourselves. This really amounts to nothing to the voters, especially the independents that do not support Romney anyhow.

Have a good day, and GO BUCKS!!

Mitt Romney's wife has multiple sclerosis... Raising kids and being the wife of a prominent politician with this ailment is more challenging and demanding IMO than any comparison Rosen or other liberals would care to make regarding the benefits of wealth. It was in poor taste and further demonstrates the hypocrisy of the left who selectively attack conservative women and their accomplishments while disingenuously claiming to be the party that promotes equality (also see Sarah Palin and her daughter).

No one on the right has ever attacked Hilliary Clinton, or Michelle Obama? Rosen said something stupid, but was it as stupid as what Rush Limbaugh said? Spare me the hypocrisy, every conservative on here stood squarely behind Rush then. And we're not even condoning what Rosen said.

Blow up anything to defeat a president. Sad.

  • Barak Obama is gonna be the president until 2016. No way in heck can you win, hispanics, women, and African-Americans are all against you. 87% of all those voting for McCain were caucasian and it will be even higher this time. You cant win elections going forward when you dont even have broad appeal. The numbers are changing in the country dude. By 2050, caucasians will only be 57% of the population. You will need to get almost every single caucasian vote to even be competitive. It might make you feel good to be insensitive to minorities and women, but you will soo find yourselves without a country if you continue to resist change and cling on the past so tightly. Remember, the good old days werent good for everybody!

Hilary Clinton and Michelle Obama both had extremely successful careers prior to marrying Bill and Barak. To compare the two is small minded at best. Its quite clear to tell that being a stay at home mother of 5 with a household income of 50 or 70k is completely different than being a stay at home mother of 5 with a household income of 42million. She's not cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, or concerned with multiple other details that other mothers would have to deal with. That being said, I'm not taking anything away from Mitt's wife at all. I'm not even sure why this is even a discussion on any level. Rosen is an idiot. Rush is an idiot. I could care less about each of them. Anyone who grew up with a mother in their life knows that they work hard.

Why don't you read what I and several other conservatives wrote about Rush Limbaugh's comments and we will wait for your apology for yet another incorrect and misleading statement (many of us don't even listen to Limbaugh contrary to your idiotic assertion that he is the "leader" of the Republican party)... You see what you want to see and ignore what doesn't fit your own self-serving narrative/agenda. Typical head-in-the-clouds liberal thinking (and I use that term loosely).

No one is "blowing anything up" that does not deserve to be by the standards your side has set. However, you are absolutely correct that we are heavily invested in defeating THIS president who is an affront to the constitution and a threat to our future solvency, security, and way of life. The fact that people such as yourself do not recognize this is what is truly "sad". Enjoy your government pension... I just kicked in another $5K so you can continue propagating your mythology.

Forgot to take your medication again today I see... Are you bedridden? I ask because I can only imagine how difficult it must be to be ambulatory with that Gibraltar sized chip on your shoulder. In all seriousness, yours is a sad existence for which I genuinely feel sorry for you. I don't doubt that you truly believe what you write but the fervor with which you cling to your ignorance is staggering. It is almost as if you are describing yourself in every post with your constant refrain of "fear" and "anger". "Dude", there is no one more pissed off than you... Congratulations on that accomplishment. Finally, I'm certainly not expecting any type of admission of an epiphany, but I'd suggest you not be afraid to consider for a moment that your personal failures and shortcomings just might not have everything to do with your race. When you come to that realization, you will be in a position where you are actually in control of your own prosperity and happiness as opposed to putting it in the hands of others who are incapable of delivering either. Personally, I like you just the way you are... You are vote generating machine for what you do not understand and irrationally oppose. Keep stickin' it to Da Man Goby!

  • She's never been in the workforce, yet Mitt talks of her as though she's his economic advisor. We all know this is Mitt's shameless attempt to try and close the gender gap. I'm sure the totality of her advice is more tax cuts.

I know this will piss off Syran; but demography is destiny. This country is rapidly moving away from a white majority, and minorities thus far won't vote repugnantant. So repugs will have to really begin pandering to Hispanics after this election to remain relevant. Do all you repugs wonder why your party won't condemn illegal immigration? It's because they see the wave about to hit the beach, and their terrified to stand against it, no matter how bad the base wants them to. Conservatism as we know it will die out in the next decade, to be replaced by a more populist repug message.

Mitt is an equal opportunity pisser-offer. Next he'll say he doesn't believe in Mormons in order to pander to the right wing evangelicals. Every time he opens his mouth he makes another voting block angry. He's running out of groups to assault. Maybe he can attack some of those "varmints" he used to "hunt."

"Squirrels need to stay in their trees, and rabbits should stay in the ground. When I'm president I'm going to expand all hunting seasons to 365 days." "No more running around and eating nuts and roots for those freeloading varmints."

So your point is that Obama told her to insult Mitt's spouse and stay at home moms? Or because she visited the WH 30 plus times out of 1100 plus days, that she is running things for Obama?

So we can hold Romney responsible for any dumb thing that anyone that has talked to him once a month says?

Why is this an issue in your mind?

"So does her fleet of 5 Nannies"... She has multiple sclerosis so what is "despicable" is anyone who would attack this courageous woman who should be an inspiration to anyone with a debilitating illness (BTW... I'm certain that being proud of her country isn't just tied to her husband winning elections). I truly hope that enough women see the hypocrisy and facade which is at the core of the Democratic party.
