Time to scarp current system and start over. I am pretty sure no one outside of Washington would notice if 2/3 of the politicians were without jobs tomorrow. Those who started this nation weren't being paid but were volunteers. Sounds like a start to me

That will be up to Congress, including the GOP controlled House. The president cannot pass a spending bill, he can only sign or veto the spending bills passed by Congress.
This means that Obama cannot spend money on his own - so maybe you yahoos should take a couple of civic lessons so you can stop looking so damn dumb as you try to blame everything on Obama.
We may disagree on issues, but at the end of the day we are all Americans - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSJoZiB-UGY&ob=av2e

That seem to work just fine for the libs when Bush was in office and the Dems had control of everything else, and as for your post above, the point is stop spending now. It may be money already spent, but that does not change the fact that we need to stop spending money like we are.
Though often asked, God does not take sides in politics or college football.

No offense WannaGoBack, but this is a sub forum specifically for offtopic material; politics, world events, etc. I could see your point if this was posted under Around the Shoe, but this is the place to talk about this sort of material.

They never get it but to be fair it is not his (their) fault. Because this happens all the time I decided to try to figure out why this seems to be happening more and more. This is what I found:
When you get on Bucknuts if you scroll down the comment/posts are introduced as "Latest Topics" and it lists the most recently posted comments WITHOUT IDENTIFICATION OR EXPLANATION OF THE BOARDS. So if a "freshman" clicks on the first item it is the most recent post from any board. Statistically speaking, chances are it will not be from Hot Spot. When it is not the person just jumps in on the conversation. They do this a couple of times and sooner or later they hit a post from Hot Spot, with the board not explained/identified. Then they post WTF is this doing on a football site and then we (Hot Spotters, LOL) take turns schooling them.
Problem is our schooling acts as if they came to Hot Spot and then posted something really dumb. They did not and have no way of knowing what board the post came from.
This is a problem only the Site Gods can fix but they almost certainly won't because it is not a problem for them.
What would be good is if under "Latest Topic" there was a brief description of the various boards and beside each latest post there was an identifier of the board it is from. I think that would be more user friendly and an improvement to the site.

Tim is partially correct. The Congress spends the money but everyone even Obama submits a budget proposal. Eventually one is agreed upon but that has not happened since the Dem's took control of the Senate over 3 years ago.. Obama submitted his budget that was defeated 99-1 last year. It was so outragious that not even Harry Reid would vote for it. The Dem. controlled Senate has not submitted/passed a budget since they took control. We spend 3.9 trillion per year and take in only 2.2 trillion per year. Expenditures have grown by about 1.9 trillion in the last 15 years. Both parties are to blame. Its easy to spend other peoples money and buy votes. Neither side wants to make the tough cuts but a budget would be helpful. Why no budget? It's all politics...
