Is it true Rick Santorum has 8 children? And he's been married for over 20 years? And he has had intercourse with his wife 8 times? Because I know this because Rick Santorum doesn't believe incontraception. He told us so. He said it was evil. Because someone should ask Rick Santorum if he ever had sex with his wife and wasn't trying to get her to conceive? I think that's a fair question. Funny how Cons want the government out of schools and other business but they are OK with peeping in our bedrooms.

Sorry to shoot a hole in your clever little diatribe, but for many years devout Catholics have practiced what's called the rhythm method. Look it up. Catholics aren't asked to abstain from sex, but practice a form of natural birth control by having sex only when a woman is likely to be incapable of conceiving - probably why he has so many kids. Since it's less than perfect there's even an old Catholic joke that goes something like this:
Question: "What do you call Catholic couples who practice the rhythm method?"
Answer: "Parents"

People like you are the true totalitarians. Obama has shown his and the left's true colors by attempting to force religious institutions to act in contravention of their religious beliefs. I just wish people like you would actually go to Afghanistan and find out what it's like to be on the receiving end of totalitarianism. It's fine for you to shove your beliefs down everyone's throats, but woe to the person that raises his voice to say that your precious sexual license is morally reprehensible.
Though often asked, God does not take sides in politics or college football.

Hey, pal, Santorum has stated his own views on the issue and also indicated that he would not act to make his views law. Why are Mario Cuomo and other Democrat Catholics lauded by leftists for their similar stance on a much more important public issue (abortion, which involves the destruction of life), and Santorum ridiculed? I know, consistency, logic and moral sanity are too much to ask of any truly committed leftist. Enjoy your time in dreamland.

I'm a conservative that believes that the government should stay the hell out of social issues. I want freedom to make money and keep it(low taxes small government). But just as I'm free to make money and keep it . Smaller government means I should also be free to use birth control, get an abortion (till the medical community recognizes it as murder) smoke marijuana, marry who I want (man or woman) and whatever else the religious fanatics want to control. The republican party bows to the religious fanatics and thats why this country is f'd up. They should be working on economic policy not playing in what I do with the rest of my life. So whoever the republican nominee is, the first time he mentions god ,religion or abortion he will have lost my vote. I'll pay higher taxes to keep the government out of my life.

You mean the Catholic hospitals which take billions of dollars in taxpayer dollars a year? Those that compete with secular hospitals but want to pick and choose what rules they will follow? Once they take a dollar of taxpayer money, they should be teated like any other hospital. Separation of church and state does not allow churches to refuse to follow laws, etc. which are passed for everyone to follow. Show me that right, to refuse to follow a general law or legal policy in the Constitution.
You have it backwards, it is the religious dogmatists who want in our bedrooms and in a woman's vagina (new vaginal ultra-sound in Virginia before a woman can terminate her pregnancy) who are trying to shove their beliefs down everyone else's throat. You have every right to be against contraceptives, gay marriage, and abortions. But you have no right to try to impose your religious beliefs on other.

If Santorum says he will not act on any of these beliefs why does he keep bringing them up when he should be talking about jobs, the economy, and the National Debt? Smokescreen? I know of only one Presidential candidate who is consistently talking about those issues, and it isn't one of the GOP clowns who have no answers, save to repeat "Obama is bad for the country" and "I can do better." Where's the beef?
Every Presidential election we get every GOP candidate using wedge issues like guns, gays, abortion, religion, etc., and now contraception. This serves two purposes for them. First, they know that if they mention just one of those inane issues they will appeal to at least half of the Republican base. Second, it is to hide the fact that they never have a plan, let alone talk about one. It has always been thus.
