A true master of hypotheticals but utter failure when it comes to facts and reality...

Talk about facts. you seem to miss the point of what the facts actually are.

    1. This is an opinion piece; the opinion of cons who are anti-Obama and are willing to push GOP misinformation to the point of lying. The only fact here is any article which starts with "Call it President Obama’s Committee for the Re-Election of the President — a political slush fund at the Health and Human Services Department" is going to be hyperbole from very partisan writers whose opinions, not fact, are obviously what drives the article.

    2. This article on "hotair" has been debunked in various places. The plants were scheduled to close because of their own inefficiency and aging technology. See citations on the thread about coal and closing plants.

    3. This is the only article you cited that is fact based - if one considers polls surveying the opinions of people as facts; but it a legitimate poll. The problem is that the respondents were given an opening to express their political views by being able to pick multiple reasons for why they were not hiring and then Gallop used a headline that did not reflect the actual data.

The headline proclaims "Health Costs, Gov't Regulations Curb Small Business Hiring." Strange since those items actually came in #5 and #6 out of 7 specific reasons (8 if you count "other"). The first 4 were all cited by more than 50% of business owners while neither health costs (48%) nor Regs (46%) were cited by less than half of the respondents.

The top 4 reasons were: 76% don't need any additional employees; 71% worried revenues won't justify adding employees; 66% are worried about the economy; and 53% are worried about cash flow. These results really suggest that health costs and gov regs are not the main factors for businesses not hiring.

    4. More partisan opinions - no facts. First clue to any objective reader is the headline, "Obama Chooses Politics Over Principle in Naming Cordray: View." See the last word - it means it is someones "view" not someone with facts. Also stating that Obama choose one thing over another has to be an opinion unless the writers are mind-readers.

In fact the GOP forced Obama to make a recess appointment because they would not even bring his nominee to a vote. Why? Not because the nominee was not qualified, he is actually well regarded by most members of both parties. It was because the repubs hate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau which needed a director to function. So the repubs decided to block the nomination as a way to circumvent a law that they had lost the vote on.

    5. This is just another partisan opinion piece. Obama has actually had an overall successful foreign policy by most measures. See the various threads on foreign policy on this board for discussions.

Here you are again - playing checkers when the game is three dimensional chess.

Though often asked, God does not take sides in politics or college football.
