I thought Santorum is a frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is a byproduct of anal sex?

    You're thinking of Barney Frank...

Santorum will not be the nominee and nor should he be. Romney is not Reagan, but he is an easy choice over Obama (Jimmy Carter v2.0).

  • It doesn't matter who they choose. They are all 3 losing badly to Obama in the polls.

I agree, but Obama and company can't take their foot off the gas pedal. Don't want to manage the second half ala Tressel.

I'm not sure if you're aware of it syran, but Santorum is actually a slang term for the by-product of anal sex. Gays dubbed him this years ago. It's actually the first item you'll find when doing a Google search on the word.

    Gay bashing. Nice.

Romney becomes a bigger joke everyday. "I like Michigan, the trees are the right height." This is the man you want in the WH?

As to the thread starter, these are the small gov people who only want gov to be limited and unintrusive; UNLESS YOU ARE BREAKING BIBLICAL LAW. They are trying to impose, not just God's word on the country, but their fundamentalist, dogmatic, supposedly literal, interpretation of the Bible. I don't see all that much difference in terms of having some religion guide our laws between what they want in this country and those in the middle east who want to use Sharia law.

Though often asked, God does not take sides in politics or college football.

"Gay bashing. Nice."... Did you notice the comment that this post was in response to genius? Additionally and according to your fellow savant, "godhatesusall" (no issues going on with that individual), "Santorum is actually a slang term for the by-product of anal sex." If that is indeed true, then why would Barney take offense to the association? After all, he admittedly had a boyfriend who was a prostitute running a gay brothel out of his apartment, http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/local/longterm/tours/scandal/gobie2.htm (great read for anyone unfamiliar with Barney's esteemed past).

Once again, its people such as yourself who are trying to incense rather than inspire people and shift the focus from the REAL issues... Of course there are some religious fundamentalists on the right just as there are some militant atheists on the left who would change our currency and tear down all of our monuments across the country (in addition to zealots of other religions besides Christianity). However, these people are in the distinct minority and will not be implementing "Biblical Law" despite your hysterical liberal screeching to the contrary. It's not only the left who wouldn't stand for that, but again the majority of Republicans and Independents who get these candidates elected.

To the thread starter... The answer is "absolutely not" to the question if a State should be run the same as a Church. However, that does not mean there is no place for the discussion of morals and societal standards in the political forum. If the liberal definition for social freedom is that people can do whatever they want whenever they want, this poses a problem for 99% of sane and rationale people. For example, I for the most part am fine with what people do in their own bedrooms. However, if those activities involve something with four legs instead of two, there should be a major problem (granted an extreme example but there are people who would actually condone this). Here is another situation where the ACLU defended an abhorrent organization called the North American Man/Boy Love Association... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/aponline/20000831/aponline171914_000.htm . There are just certain things which are beyond acceptability or decency with which we should all agree.

My point is that most people regardless of ideology don't want others judging them, but there needs to be limits and standards or you don't have a culture or society. Moral decline is a real issue and not just for religious fundamentalists. Just about anyone with children already understands this. You can see the subject matters people on the far left on here and elsewhere are trying to propagate: "Racism"... There are a small minority of people who will vote against Obama because of his color just as there are others who will vote for him for the same reason. The white people who no longer support him that got him elected didn't all of the sudden become racists. This topic is entirely intended to gin up and get out the vote in certain communities (manufactured hatred and intolerance from the "social justice" crowd); "Homophobia"... Again, there are some who feel homosexuality should be outlawed where there are others who feel it should be celebrated and taught in our elementary schools (or how about this insanity, http://apnews.myway.com/article/20120220/D9T13HO02.html ). Neither is right IMO. Gay marriage? Give gay and lesbian couples the EXACT same rights/penalties as heterosexual ones but just call it something different; "Sexism"... The whole contraceptive discussion is a canard as it is about limits of government power and its influence in people's personal lives/finances/religion. It has nothing to do for most with access to contraceptives or their use. Again, its the left going after a demographic they feel they can enrage with misrepresentations and hyperbole.

White male Republicans have wives, daughters, friends and colleagues of different ethnicities and sexual preference, and the significant majority aren't interested in discriminating against anyone (just as we aren't interested in being discriminated against when it comes to hiring/firing/admission standards). Liberals desperately want to turn the discussion into one on social issues because they think they can successfully label all conservatives as these things already discussed in order to win an election. Republicans will win the debate on matters of the economy, foreign policy, and yes a moderate message on values. Rick Santorum will not be the nominee, but I would begrudgingly support him over the most liberal and worst president we've had since Jimmy Carter. Mitt Romney will be the Republican candidate and the ironic thing is that he is actually the most moderate candidate on either ticket based on his RECORD.

TimMcM said... "I don't see all that much difference in terms of having some religion guide our laws between what they want in this country and those in the middle east who want to use Sharia law."... This country was founded on Judeo-Christian values and they are embedded throughout our constitution and society. I guess we should just start over with a completely atheist value system (Exactly what is that BTW?).

  • Whther the country was founded with Judeo-Christian values is irrelevant, lots of other religions hold the same values. The fact is that the Founding Fathers purposely and strictly separated church and state because they knew what could happen if they became intertwined.

    Urban_Meyer

  • Why are people getting thier panties up in a wad over a satement Santorum said over 4 years ago? When I first heard this I went to see if it was taken out of context, when I found it I noticed it was stated over 4 years ago and couldnt figure out why just now people are all up in arms over it? is it a slow news week or something?

I think Santorum is a joke but him thinking satan taking over would be far down my list of things I do not like about him that is for sure.

But it was ok to Christian bash. You, like most libs, are a hypocrite extraordinairre. No way Obama wins in November, no way. He's not Jimmy Carter v2, he's Jimmy Carter X 2. People, in their gut, understand that our gov't is too large, we spend too much, the economy is NOT revving up, and our liberties are threatened by this man's policies. $4+ gas, with no strategy for a domestic energy policy, will be the final nail in his political coffin. Yeah, I know, racist right? Right.
