So who else is quietly expectant and secretly

  • Nervous about the election results. I don't stay awake this late during the week for anything but I'm watching this one.

  • Right here

Not going to flame either choice here. But, I am really nervous about what the reaction will be. It seems that people are really passionate about this one either way. Or, maybe I am just noticing it more since I am getting older.

  • Just more of the same old lies and results no matter the outcome. Either Puppet A or Puppet B will be looked at as a savior tonight. Nothing good will come of this. peace

  • Exciting. Very calm. It will be an early night as far as knowing who our next President will be(we'll know by the early am Wednesday). Enjoy the historical moment. I certainly felt proud while casting my vote.

  • Yea I felt a weird nervousness falling over me after work. Anxious for it to be over and know the results and a little scared to find out. Just a strange feeling.

  • Most presidents are puppets, held captive to what the federal reserve does and allows them, and how they interact with Congress.
    Lets be real.

    AMEN!!!!!!!

And by the way...four years from now will be "the most important election in our lifetime". And then eight years from now will be "the most important election in our lifetime"... so really, no one should get too worked up.

I'm too cynical to believe the election will make much of a difference....

but looking back on recent elections..... I tend to think the 2000 election turned out to be more pivotal than anyone could have imagined at the time.... hard to imagine how things might be different -- for better or worse -- if the other guy had won that election...

  • I am nervous and excited too. Being a Romney supporter in NYC isn't the easiest spot to be in. If Romney wins, I will be working remotely with a romney-ryan bumpsticker on my laptop in coffee houses on the Upper West Side, Park Slope, the village and any other obnoxiously liberal area of this city for the next week. Pretty certain I will get kicked out of a few along the way. More than likely, I will be the sad clown just like 2008 though. Hopefully my fellow Buckeyes will make me proud....

  • I wrote in Urban Meyer on my ballot.

Simply for the fact that I don't agree with any of the candidates to support them with my vote. I don't mean to mock our rights to vote, but the candidates shouldn't insult my intelligence by saying their plan is going to save America..be honest and say its going to take time and this isn't going to be fixed..since tightener of them have the guts to say so..then they don't get my vote.

  • Polls are closed now in my state. I voted, not because I was drawn to the polls by any enthusiasm for a particular candidate, but, rather, pushed by my commitment to the hard-won democratic process generations of my family fought for and, in some cases, died or were maimed in the process and in response to my memory of family and friends who gave their full and final act of devotion. I voted because I can, and will never take that right for granted.

This is the only reason I vote. Sadly, I believe the whole thing is an illusion. No real choice. No difference. The two parties just manipulate the population and pit us against each other. Mostly based on non sense that isn't or wont ever become true. I'm with ohiost83. The Federal Reserve is in charge. He who holds the purse strings as they say. Mainly, it just makes for good theater. Maybe good isn't the right word. Tragic? Ultimately everyday including tomorrow morning I have to wake up and make my own fortune. That won't ever change regardless of who sits in that big White House.

  • Early results sounds like the Buckeye state could go to Obama, still a % out there, but a decent lead.

Long way to go for Ohio, don't think we'll know Ohio or Virginia today, probably early Wednesday if you ask me.

  • People set their hair on fire for every election and I have yet have an election directly affect my living situation or personal success. Maybe I am lucky or maybe people simply overreact. Don't get me wrong I still vote because I have a preference but I do not freak out if I do not get my elected preference.
