highest EVER deficit by the US giverment for a month....

  • bloffenb said...

Are you kidding me, so you think we should throw the dollar in the trash cause the Democrats can't get their way? You make no sense what so ever, what has Obama not gotten that he has wanted and don't say health care cause the Democrats had plenty of votes on their own without one single Republican vote. How in the world do you expect to change anything without cutting spending? Do you know anything about the depression in the late 1910s? Spending was cut to zero and the highest taxes were 2% that were only imposed on the rich. The Great Depression was the Great Depression because of FDR's policies. Before you call me an idiot or a liar look it up. I didn't accuse anyone of anything and you Democrats still want to put your heads in the sand. I don't disagree that we are at a point where taxes need to be raised, but that can't be the only option. Wake up and realize this country is quickly heading for the dumpster and the people in office are responsible whether there is a D or R behind their name.

I disagree with your view of history. My point is that if the Republicans are hell bent on stonewalling any progress on the taxation side, the Dems should play the part from the other side. No spending cuts without equal revenue increases. Why let one party ruin it for everyone else? It certainly didn't take just one party to get here.

This was coming long before Obama, Who signed the NAFTA and allowed manufacturing to move out of the country with no penalties? If we make few durable goods and have to purchase everything from some other country how the hell will our country ever make any money?

    Clinton signed it.....

Exactly what I'm getting at, the republicans started it and the democrats signed it into law. Let's get off this political party line sh** and do whats right for the country for a change. If a person regardless of party isn't for huge spending cuts and bringing manufacturing back to this country then don't vote their A**es into office. We need to have a major overhaul done of the entire political process in this country, no one person is always right just because they are a republican or a democrat. Look at a persons track record and vote for the ones who have proven they will make the hard decisions to get this country back on track and not just exist to fill their own pockets. Greed has been the downfall of every great civilization there has been, lets not let history repeat itself here.

  • So what??? The only way you are gonna get out of it is to grow the economy and get people back to work. You wingnuts ran on jobs jobs jobs...you have not ONE job creating or job stimulating bill in the two years since you took the house. You have done nothing. Its pretty sad that you have to root against your own economy so that you can get a repugnican in the White House.

Obamas policies are working. Its sad you cannot admit it when things are going better. Just get used to having 4 more years of a black president. Get used to what your real issue is...you cant stop it Minster. Your president is black!!!!! Lol...and he will be president for years to come. If you want to put a religious wingnut in office or a heartless robot, go ahead and try, but it aint gonna happen! Lol...I love this...you keep spewing your right wing angry white male anger and you just get your lunch eaten all the time. Lol!!!!

for the MONTH of FEB over $229 BILLION added to the debt.......Change U can believe in.........

Anyone with an ounce of sense believes it.....
There has been zero cuts and revenues have seen a downward trend.....Why?
(I am not saying what is happening is wrong in all cases, but giving you a reason)

1). The tax base is way down -
a). The income of many Americans is down
b). The spending of disposable income is down. People are now paying down their debt (creates no taxes)
2). Taxes from Businesses on average have been declining as they find bigger and better loop holes.
a). Cooking their books in order to show zero profit
b). Taking jobs and sourcing them overseas
C). Utilizing Stock Options as pay for Exec. & CEO's
    3). It's a shorter month

*****4). Cuts need to be made....The Right is not willing to move on any major issues, as they would rather the Country go to hell, than appear to look weak. There only hope for this election, is for Obama to make a cut that either effects the elderly or women. I'm sure each and everyone of us that are Married, has had to compromise, in my 29 years, I can say I have... and in most of our major decisions, we have had a common goal, what is best for our Family. BOTH PARTIES, need to do that now....

Here is just an example of how $1 can cost the Government less than 10 cents, An Organization has tracked the money of Food Stamps and Welfare, since almost all of the money spent, is done so locally, when tracted, from store purchased, to vendor, to vendor, to vendor, the taxes the dollar produced was over 90 cents. My point is, if the money we spend is done so at our local markets, buying American Products, it will be a tremendous plus.

    Very nice post!!

We all need to listen to the advice Deep Throat said, follow the money.......

I wonder how many on here realize than most of all the laws written (right or Left) are done so by the Lobbyist and the Companies they Represent.

We need 2 term max, all Political funds in excess of $5K or so, need to be disclosed to the public. All funds to Lobbyist, Pacs, needs to be made public...... Why did a Credit Card Company write the Credit Card Reform Bill?????????? But because someone wasn't called a whore or getting Oral Sex in the WH, it wasn't important enough to bring to the attention of the public.

Bush 1 raised taxes and was crucified by the left and Clinton in 1992. If you don't think taxes are high enough than you probably don't pay any tax. People that work hard and try to get ahead do not think taxes are low.

You could take all the income (not just taxes) from the top earners and not balance the budget. It's spending fellas. Our budget was under 2 trillion in the late 1990's. Now it's 3.8 trillion
    O that's right we don't have a budget.

First off, go fuck yourself. Don't try to accuse me of not paying taxes or not working hard when you know nothing about me. Second, I've never claimed that taxes would fix all the problems and I would never say that. However, it's a part of the solution if you are interested in a rational one. So, there you go.

Classy. Again. 50 percent don't pay anything and in fact get money back for doing absolutely nothing. What is the amount us ( u and i) taxpayers should pay in taxes? 20,25,30,40,45,50,55,60,65,70,75,80 ,90?

    Love to know your answer.

I think taxes should be worked back to 1985 levels and, of course, be adjusted to match modern incomes.

So we can't stop spending more than we make until we make more than we were?

    Really? LMAO. Genius economic advice.

I'm a fair tax fan and the power to dictate them should be taken away from the politicians.
Everyone should pay some taxes. As it stands today, the politicians can decide the winners and losers and normally its based on who gave them the most money and who will get them the most votes. The system today is too complicated. Heck, even the politicians don't know what the tax laws are and they wrote them. The book is very well thought out and is actually pretty fair to the financially less fortunate. Couple that with a balanced budget amendment and we might just have something. The trouble is the politicians do not want to give up the power.

And how many pink ponies they have? Maybe how much good will they have in their heart? How many pussies they can get away with not offending? How about if they fit in your little boy's small lavender shirt better than you? Any chance you answer his question without a vague or bitch response?

Seriously, the question isn't who is John Galt, but why did he bother sticking around feeding the entitled so damn long?
