New Castle (Pa.) High four-star athlete Malik Hooker has committed to Ohio State.
Hooker is the 13th four-star commit for Ohio State in 2014.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Hooker is on board as a safety, but the Buckeyes coaching staff is also open to him playing receiver.
"I called Urban Meyer about 20 minutes ago and committed," Hooker told Bucknuts insider Bill Kurelic. "He was pretty excited about it."
Recruited by Luke Fickell, Hooker is the 16th commit for Ohio State in the class-of-2014 and the 13th to hold four-star status.
Hooker chose the Buckeyes over offers from the likes of Arizona, Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia. He saw the Ohio State campus back in June.
"The first time I was there it just felt right. I just felt the spark that it was the place to be. One visit was enough for me. I just felt like I was at home and the coaching staff, they're all great people."
