Campbell Makes It Three New Bucks

Running back Parris Campbell Jr. (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) has become the third star 2014 prospect to commit to Ohio State today he confirmed in a text message.

Parris Campbell, who has blazing speed, could play running back and/or in the slot for OSU.

Campbell joins defensive end Lawrence Marshall and offensive lineman Kyle Trout to commit to the Buckeyes today.

Campbell is commitment No. 5 for Meyers’ 2014 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-0 and 180-pound Campbell led St. Vincent-St. Mary to a 13-2 record and a Division III State Championship this past season.

Campbell rushed for 1,353 yards and 28 touchdowns and had 13 pass receptions.

“He projects as a running back or wide receiver in college,” St. Vincent-St. Mary Athletic Director Andy Jalwan said.

Campbell told Bucknuts.com the Buckeyes have recruited him as an "athlete" that could play running back, slot receiver or wide receiver - any of the three.

Campbell was a state champion in the 4x100 relay as a freshman and sophomore.
